pushing random bits (h264 encoding nautilus-scripts) into github
4 January 2011, 02:48
Its been a while since I wanted to try github being faced by the facts: it seems like it’s going to stick around, floss people like it and some of my own contributors to Tomdroid seems to push for it instead of bazaar/launchpad.
Well I got an excuse today! I did some nautilus-scripts to lazily batch encode (and sometimes rotate) home videos done with my consumer canon picture camera into h264/mp3 to save some hard-drive space. Got to learn zenity in the process which is a fairly easy way to interact with the desktop from a bash script.
Anyways, here are the bits: https://github.com/obilodeau/nautilus-scripts
p.s.: After thinking about it, I might not get a good hold on git/github with such a write-only repo… I shall find new code to push.
